Mandela S.H. Dixon never took a business or finance class prior to starting her first business. She didn't go to an Ivy League school or have wealthy family or friends to fund her start-up. She's also a Black woman. "It quickly became apparent to me that I was far from the typical founder that succeeds in Silicon Valley," Dixon says.
