The Cover Guy, a Canadian hot tub covers and spa accessories company, announces the 2021 8th Annual Cover Guy Scholarship Submissions are now open!

The Cover Guy, a spa cover company, has announced that it will continue its commitment to give back to the communities in which it serves. A part of that is the annual scholarship it offers to US and Canadian university and college students.

The Cover Guy recently selected the recipients of the 7th Annual Scholarship program for 2020: Kyle Madsen, based in the United States, and Kieran McKenzie from Canada.
“This was by far the one of the hardest years to choose and the committee has done an incredible job of selections once again. Our 2020 recipients both represent the high-quality student and community members that is synonymous with our past recipients” – shares the head of the selection committee.
For The Cover Guy, this is the 8th year of their Annual Scholarship. For the past 7 years, 13 students attending a Canadian or US university or college were granted the $1000 award.

Kieran McKenzie from McMaster University adds, “Thank you to The Cover Guy team!!! I am honored to receive this year’s scholarship and extremely grateful for the team’s generosity toward the student community and their success. The award will be directed toward completing my education at McMaster University this upcoming Fall!”
The requirements for applying for The Cover Guy 8th Annual Scholarship are:
· The student must be currently enrolled, or going to be enrolled in a program at a university, college, or trade school in the United States or Canada for the upcoming school year.
· The applicant must submit an article consisting of 500-1000 words.
· The article must be in and around the applicants’ experience with hot tubs (ie. backyard experiences, how hot tubs improve life, etc)
· One submission per applicant and it should be sent by email only. Please include name, phone number, address, school name, program. Give an explanation of why you should be considered for the award (grades, volunteer work, etc..), student ID number, and the article.
The submission deadline is June 30th 2021 and the award date is August 1st 2021. Essay applications can be submitted to: scholarships@thecoverguy.com
