(WAki International Media Center 17th November)  The speech of Sayadaw Baddanta Candobhasa, the speaker of Parami Temple   on the 100th days Memorial Service of the Late Most Respected King of Relic, Sayadaw U Kittivara on 7th Novemeber 2021 :

In accordance to the Pali canon, the Blessed One preached to the monks that “all volitional formations have arisen and will be perishable. It is the nature of law, so don’t forget to live with awareness. Thank you to all the laymen and lay women who come from local and foreign countries for joining Our most Respected Venerable Sayadaw U Kittivara’s 100th days Memorial Services.

According to the Pali literature, although the physical body has decayed, the virtues remain in this world. The virtues, moralities, contribution, and wisdom of the late Venerable Sayadaw U Kittivara still remain in our heart and in this world. Sayadaw had contributed and carried out the Buddhist missionary in this very life, which had benefited and shared his great deeds to devas and humans. Besides, Sayadaw had founded the Relic Musuem to enshrine the Buddha and Buddha’s Disciples’s relics, which was indeed magnificent.

I pay homage to the relics of the Buddha which came in several sizes. The big-sized relics are of the size of a grain of bean, which have a golden color and a total collection of about five alhaka (a measurement of capacity for gains ) measurement; the medium size relics are of the size of a broken rice, look like pearls, and have a total collection of about five alhaka measures and the smallest are the size of  mustard seed, with the shape of the red jasmine buds and have the total collection of about six alhaka measurement.

All the Sayadaw’s lay disciples and Sangha groups are supporting and preserving the Relics and the Relic Musuem that founded by the late Sayadaw U Kittivara for the benefit of the Buddha Sasana. The Sangha group from Thein Taung Taik Thit Temple ( Parami temple) are looking forward to work together with Waki Relic Musuem for continuously carry out the Buddhist missionary work of the late Sayadaw U Kittivara.

Among many lay disciples of the late Sayadaw, we are glad that Mr. Teo Choo Guan, President of Waki Relic Musuem is working hard and spreading the Dhatu (relics) according to the wishes and guidelines of the late Sayadaw U Kittivara by enshrining the Buddha and Buddha’s disciples’ relics in Pagodas or temple all around the World.

Lastly, I am glad that your faith to the triple gems remain strong even though the late Sayadaw is not with us now. In 100th day Memorial Service, you are paying homage to the triple gems, offering the 4 requisites to the Sangha, listening to the Paritta chanting, may these merits dedicate to our late most respected Sayadaw U Kittivara. May all the devotees and Waki families be healthy, wealthy and carrying on with the buddhist missionaries.
