Preserve Medical Choice with Initiative 1853

Where There is Risk, There Must Be Choice. We Must Protect Medical Civil Liberties.

EVERETT, Wash. - Feb. 22, 2022 - PRLog -- October 18, 2021: Washington state imposed COVID-19 mandates for state employees and healthcare workers. Many state workers applied for medical and religious exemptions through-out the state. Some exemptions were granted with workplace safety protocols such as mask-wearing and social distance. Life-long Washingtonians, Von Galt and Evan Galt, has launched Initiative 1853 which aims to get adopted as a new law preserving medical choice without reprisal.

The previous version of Initiative 1853 was Initiative 1441 and 1443, which fell short of the needed signatures. As a result, they started an Initiative to the People petition and they will have time till July 8, 2021, to submit 400,000 signatures to put it on the General Election slated for November 8, 2022. They're working with grassroots civilian groups to collect signatures and to achieve the same outcomes through various pathways.

"It's to stress here that all kinds of medical procedures, including vaccinations, can have life-threatening adverse events or even death. With those risks, there must be choice. We belong to a free country and State and every citizen here should have the basic right to work for their livelihood without any coercion techniques. Please join us in the mission to stop the ongoing medical discrimination and preserve medical choice in Washington State."
