Glatfelter Names Deba Mukherjee as Vice President and General Manager, Specialty Papers Business Unit

Glatfelter announced today a leadership realignment within its Specialty Papers Business Unit. Deba Mukherjee has been named Vice President & General Manager of the North America-based Specialty Papers Business Unit replacing Tim Hess. Mr. Hess has been appointed Vice President of the Spring Grove, PA-based, Engineered & Converting Products Division. Mr. Mukherjee will have overall profit and loss responsibility for the entire Specialty Papers Business Unit, which includes the Spring Grove, PA and Chillicothe and Fremont, OH facilities as well as the Glatfelter Pulpwood Company.

Mr. Mukherjee joined Glatfelter in 1998 and brings significant experience to his new position with a proven track record of delivering results and improving business performance. During his ten years with Glatfelter, Deba has served in various leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility in the areas of operations, continuous improvement, sales, product development, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Glatfelter, Mr. Mukherjee provided consulting services to several multinational firms. Deba holds a Bachelors of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology, a Master of Science and a Ph.D degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Masters of Business Administration degree from York College of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Hess joined Glatfelter in 1994, serving various leadership roles over the past fourteen years and brings significant experience in the areas of Engineered Products, sales, product development, continuous improvement and strategic planning. Prior to joining Glatfelter, Tim graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering Physics and holds a Bachelor degree from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology.
