Colony Insurance, a member of Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NasdaqGS: AGII), today announced that Kevin Price has joined the company as vice president of the allied medical division.
Mr. Price, who will be based in Colony’s Richmond office, brings 23 years of underwriting, marketing, claims, and retail brokerage experience in professional lines. He began his career as a claims adjuster with Liberty Mutual. For the last 15 years, Mr. Price has focused primarily on medical malpractice, while he held positions at Victor O. Schinnerer & Co., The Reciprocal Group, the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, and with RCM&D/Health Providers Insurance Alliance.
Mr. Price holds the CPCU and CIC designations. He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Dayton and is currently working on his master’s in health administration.
Colony also announced the hiring of David Williams as vice president of professional lines product development. Mr. Williams is based in Colony’s Chicago office.
Mr. Williams began his insurance underwriting career with C.N.A. in 1995 before moving on to AIG as assistant regional underwriting manager, professional liability division. He worked for the Insurance Services Office in AIG’s Specialty Lines Division, focusing primarily on e-commerce. In addition to his underwriting experience, Mr. Williams most recently served as manager of product development for General Star Management.
Mr. Williams received his bachelor of music degree from Crane School of Music, State University of New York in 1987. He also has a master’s in music from the New England Conservatory in Boston and a doctorate in music from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. In 2002, he received his J.D. from New York Law School and is admitted to the state bar in New York and New Jersey.
