Banks used cash to influence credit card reform

A look at campaign finance data by MAPLight.org found that banks pumped $271,029 into Congressional campaigns just two weeks before the vote on the Credit Cardholders Bill of Rights Act. In some cases, the cash coincidently appears to have found sympathetic elected representatives.
