Other Events
 
On July 1, 2008, Ashland Inc. announced that it has completed its purchase of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and atmospheric emulsions businesses of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., of Allentown, Pennsylvania, a supplier of atmospheric gases, process and specialty gases, performance materials, and equipment and services worldwide.  The transaction included manufacturing facilities in Elkton, Maryland and Piedmont, South Carolina.
 
Ashland is furnishing this information pursuant to the SEC’s Regulation FD.  By filing this report on Form 8-K, Ashland makes no admission as to the materiality of any information in this report.
