Philip Alfonso Berry: Executive Leadership Coach and Organizational Effectiveness Adviser

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 6, 2024 / Many businesses in the corporate sector have the unfortunate tendency to emphasize their financial performance over the capabilities and performance of employees.

While making profits is the purpose of many such organizations, they tend to overlook the fact that people are what drive those profits; without them and their contributions to the business, there would be no business. Philip Alfonso Berry, president of Philip Berry Associates LLC, has worked with many businesses and their staff to keep this notion at the forefront of their organizational philosophy and values, for the betterment of the business as a whole.

The Credentials and Experience of Philip Berry

Mr. Berry, having worked in the corporate sector for over 55 years and drawing on his MBA and MSW, has provided many businesses with his expertise in executive coaching, organizational development and leadership training.

Much of Mr. Berry's work focuses on enhancing individual or team performance within an organization, helping them transition from their state of performance to higher levels of capability. He has also helped companies address issues with team transformation, talent development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. In helping the staff improve themselves, the company can better understand their strengths and weaknesses, enhancing overall performance.

Having worked in the corporate sector for nearly six decades, Mr. Berry has accrued a wide range of experiences from the various companies he's worked with, including IBM, Procter & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, and the Clinton Foundation, among others. Although he stands as Philip Berry Associates LLC's president today, he previously held many roles in human resources and HR-adjacent positions.

Improving Businesses Internationally

During his tenure at Colgate-Palmolive, Mr. Berry was based internationally. He lived in Paris for several years while serving as the vice president of human resources for Colgate Europe. His greatest accomplishment has been living and working in over 60 countries around the world, gaining global work experience and knowledge.

In a later role as the vice president of international business development, he worked in Eastern Europe, Russia, Africa and Latin America, which collectively he considers his greatest experiences working globally. When Mr. Berry left Colgate, he wrote a book to share his knowledge with profit and nonprofit companies. He wants to combine all his experiences to continue contributing to different sectors.

Despite his already deep pool of experience, Mr. Berry has committed himself to continually learning and adapting to the times as technology and society advance. Through his work at the Clinton Foundation, for example, he gained insights into how nonprofit organizations operate and how to improve a community.

Embracing the Future and New Technologies

In the next chapter of his journey, Mr. Berry aims to explore other technologies. With the advent of artificial intelligence, he hopes to further extend his impact. He also intends to improve peoples' perspectives by making them aware of the new technologies that are emerging. His time at IBM taught him early on that new technologies should be embraced rather than shunned or feared, as this hesitancy only holds businesses back from accomplishing the most they can.

Mr. Berry's efforts in helping businesses recognize the value of the people operating their company at all levels are what makes his work uniquely valuable. As he continues to work with businesses to help them take the next step in progressing operations, there's little doubt more companies will adopt this approach of appreciation and growing together.
