12th Hong Kong Forum Opens

Two-Day Event Attracts Nearly 400 International Business Leaders

Hong Kong, Nov 29, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Nearly 400 business leaders from 23 countries are taking part in the 12th Hong Kong Forum, which opened this morning at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and continues through 30 November.

The two-day Forum is the annual flagship event of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide. Launched in 2000, the Federation is a network of 33 Hong Kong business associations counting more than 11,000 members in 24 countries and regions.

The Forum provides up-to-date business and market information on Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and Asia in general. It also offers Federation members business opportunities and contacts through its wide-ranging programme of panel discussions, thematic workshops, networking sessions and optional visits.

Star-studded Forum

This morning's Forum highlights included the Star Leaders Panel Discussion. Council for Sustainable Development Chairman Bernard Chan, Crowe Horwath (HK) CPA Ltd Co-Chairman Paul Chan, and Crown Worldwide Holdings Ltd Chairman James Thompson revealed their business strategies, particularly on the mainland.

Highlighting today's Outstanding Business Panel Discussion session were German Pool (Hong Kong) Ltd Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, Karen Chan, LASVIT (HK) Ltd Group Managing Director Leon Jakimic, and Outblaze Ltd founder and CEO Yat Siu.

Hang Seng Bank Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Margaret Leung was the keynote speaker at today's Forum luncheon.

Chief Executive to Speak

Hong Kong SAR Government Chief Executive Donald Tsang will deliver the keynote luncheon address tomorrow. Other Forum speakers tomorrow will include Neoglory (China) Holdings Group Co Ltd Chairman Lind Zhou, and HKTDC Deputy Chief Economist Pansy Yau, who will take a look at the latest development on the mainland.
