Early Declaration of Regular Distributions and Special Distributions Announced for Certain BlackRock Closed-End Funds

The Boards of Trustees of BlackRock California Municipal 2018 Term Trust (NYSE:BJZ), BlackRock New York Municipal 2018 Term Trust (NYSE:BLH) and BlackRock Municipal 2018 Term Trust (NYSE:BPK) (together the “Funds”) today announced the early declaration of a regular monthly distribution for November. The Funds also announced a special distribution in order to meet their December 31, 2017 tax spillback requirements. Commonly referred to as a “spillback” distribution, this distribution of income from the Fund’s preceding fiscal year is required in order for the Fund to satisfy regulated investment company-related U.S. federal income tax requirements. The applicable dates and amounts are detailed below.
