ITEM 7.01 REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
The Board of Directors of the Registrant has approved a new stock repurchase program. Under the plan, the Company intends to repurchase up to $193.0 million of stock from time to time, depending on market conditions, at prevailing market prices in open-market and other transactions. This amount is in conformance with Federal Reserve Bank guidelines for stock repurchases.
The authorized share repurchases represent approximately 10% of Capitol Federal Financial, Inc.'s capital.
