TransTech, North Carolina’s largest and leading truck driver training and transportation solutions company announced the opening of their newest CDL Training Center in Raleigh-Durham, NC.
“Truck driving is one of the largest occupations in North Carolina, and currently employs more than 200,000 drivers,” said Tyrel Sulzer, Co-CEO and COO of TransTech. “The industry is continuing to grow, and to help meet the need for both Class A and Class B drivers, we have opened our ninth CDL training center here in Raleigh-Durham, giving us even greater capacity”, he added.
The new TransTech location will be located at 312 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. TransTech is enrolling students now, and the first class begins on April 2nd. The newest location adds to the expanding TransTech footprint, which also includes CDL training centers in Charlotte, Gastonia, Newton, Winston-Salem, Asheville, Greensboro, Greenville, and Ahoskie.

As the largest CDL trainer in the state, our newest location in Raleigh-Durham will allow us to recruit, train and graduate nearly 2,500 highly skilled and safety-conscious new professional truck drivers in North Carolina this year. Our new CDL training center in The Triangle area of North Carolina allows us to serve Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. We will be teaching both Class A and Class B programs, and we have already filled our first few classes”, shared Bob Boniface, Co-CEO and CFO of TransTech.
The TransTech Raleigh CDL Training Center will employ 20 people and is expected to train more than 350 new truck drivers annually.
