Cadillac, MI — Northern Michigan Vein Specialists have announced that Lauren Detweiler, FNP-C, will be joining their Cadillac location as a medical aesthetic injector. The addition of Detweiler to the practice will allow both NMVS locations to provide more medical aesthetic injectable services to their patients, such as BOTOX®, which they recently added as a service in Traverse City. With the help of Lauren Detweiler, NMVS continues to expand their offerings as a vein-centric practice that provides expertly administered aesthetic care.

Originally from Casper, Wyoming, Detweiler earned her Bachelor of Nursing in South Dakota. After spending two years as a cardiac nurse, she began her graduate master program through Simmons University in Massachusetts. Once she completed her Master’s, Detweiler began working in family medicine, where she worked with patients who were dealing with various issues. She discovered her passion for aesthetics over the past year, as the creativity involved with the position allowed her to thrive while enabling others to look and feel their very best.
“I’m so thrilled to be working as an injector at NMVS,” said Detweiler. “It’s such an honor to work at an esteemed practice that helps people feel comfortable with themselves, and I can’t wait to add to that with my services. I’m all about building trusting relationships with my patients and teaching them about realistic expectations so that they can enjoy the process of becoming their best selves. I really can’t wait to meet everyone and begin!”
Detweiler continues to further her education in aesthetic medicine, and she’s currently becoming certified to administer lasers in addition to dermal fillers and neurotoxins. She specializes in making subtle and tasteful facial changes, a skill she developed from her time spent traveling and training with professionals in the fast-growing industry.
“You have to always be learning,” continued Detweiler. “Knowledge really is power, and I’m not at the top of my game if I’m not up to date with all the rapid developments in the medical aesthetics industry. Offering patients services that can truly benefit them means I need to be well-rounded in my knowledge and able to consult with them on treatments, and continuing education is the most empowering route to that. I really enjoy the creative aspect of administering product to create results that are entirely for a patient’s unique preferences, and learning from other injectors allows me to broaden my skills further as the aesthetic services continue to grow at NMVS!”
