The 2024 INCLUSION·Conference on the Bund officially kicked off today at the Huangpu World Expo Park in Shanghai, China. With the theme of "Technology for a Sustainable Future," this year’s conference aims to foster international exchange and dialogue on the latest trends in technology and their impact on humanity. The Conference will run from September 5 to 7.
The event features a prestigious lineup of speakers, with the number of international guests reaching an all-time high. Over 500 industry leaders, including more than 10 esteemed scholars, will share their insights on the integration of technology and industries. Notable participants include Jin Li, President of Fudan University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Wang Jian, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of Zhejiang Lab and Founder of Alibaba Cloud; Michael I. Jordan, Academician of the NAS, the NAE, Foreign member of the Royal Society; and Harry Shum, Council Chairman of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Foreign Member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.
The conference will also focus on how fintech can drive global business growth and promote inclusive development. As a leading platform for showcasing global fintech practices, the event will feature the launch of several major technology applications and industry standards.
In addition to the Main Forum on the morning of September 5, the event will include 36 Insight Forums, over 10 sessions on the Creator Stages showcasing technology startups, two AI Competitions, a 10,000-square-meter Technology Exhibition, a Green Marketplace, and a Technology Job Fair.
The Insight Forums will focus on three main themes: Technological Innovation & Industrial Transformation, Financial Technology & Inclusive Future, and Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility. These sessions will explore the latest advancements in technology, sharing insights and best practices from industry leaders.
The Technology Exhibition, spanning 10,000 square meters, will feature a record number of participants, with over 100 global tech companies and research institutions showcasing their innovations, demonstrating how technology can improve everyday life for all.

The inaugural INCLUSION Conference on the Bund successfully concluded on September 26, 2020, with support from the Shanghai Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau and the Shanghai Huangpu District People's Government. The 2023 INCLUSION Conference on the Bund included an 8,000-square-meter technology exhibition and a 3,000-square-meter green marketplace for attendees from around the world.
