Elidah, a pioneer in healthcare technology known for its FDA-cleared non-invasive, wearable urinary incontinence treatment for women, recently launched a novel at-home research study targeting urinary incontinence in men.
This study focuses on men who are scheduled for or have undergone robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy and are experiencing incontinence, as up to 60% of men face persistent urinary incontinence after this procedure, significantly impacting their quality of life. With about 233,000 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed annually in the U.S., effective control of side effects like incontinence is crucial for improving the quality of life of prostate cancer survivors. This innovative study addresses a significant unmet need in men's health, providing a potential solution for millions.

Studies indicate that nearly half of men continue to use pads six months after prostate surgery. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Elidah’s wearable treatment device in reducing incontinence, decreasing pad use, and accelerating the recovery of sexual function and confidence. The male device is identical to Elitone except for a male-anatomy shaped GelPad. The design of the male GelPad had been funded by the Department of Defense.
