(1) | These share units are issued under Sprint's 1997 Long-Term Stock Incentive Program. Each unit represents the right to receive one share of the underlying security at a date in the future, unless the reporting person elects to have the underlying security delivered at a later delivery date. |
(2) | These restricted stock units vest 100% on the third anniversary of the grant date but are subject to forfeiture in the event financial objectives relating to enterprise economic value added are not achieved during 2005. Additionally, for the award to fully vest the proposed merger with Nextel must be completed. |
