Item 8.01 Other Events
The E.W. Scripps Company has entered into an agreement with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company to purchase a group annuity contract and transfer approximately $50 million of the company's pension plan obligations. The transaction is expected to close on November 8, 2018. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
