Professional WOMAN’s Magazine Fall/Winter Issue “Wonder Women of the Year”
SOURCE: onsemi
DESCRIPTION:
There is no question that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone around the globe. Women, still often the main caretakers of children, elderly family members and households, carried (and are still carrying) a large part of the burden that this pandemic has inflicted upon everyone. Members of the WE ERG (Women’s leadership employee resource group) at onsemi answered how life has changed, what lessons they have learned so far and how they dealt with the changes as individuals and as a group. Turns out that quite a few positives have come out of this challenging time.
Due to COVID and strategy changes, how has the WE members been creative to stay connected and active?
Heather Nuetzman, Manager, Americas and Japan Global Supply Chain: “We added two short, additional, unstructured meetings during the height of the pandemic. This allowed to share updates on work, challenges at home or a combination of both. This really helped keep our team talking and aligned.”
Susie Jung, Korea Organizational Development Analyst: “At our Korea site, WE maintained book club activities online. Sharing ideas helped our members professionally and personally. Plus, WE is now providing two online study clubs covering data science and finance acumen. WE also kept supporting the career development of female engineering college students through STEM mentoring programs through an online event. In addition, WE held an online seminar for female leaders only to strengthen their leadership skills.”
WE China Leaders: “We have taken this time to really build our foundation and expand on our social media presence.”
