Momentum for Suicide Prevention Gala event is for one night only, Wednesday, September 22nd, benefitting The Teen Suicide Prevention Society.
The Momentum for Suicide Prevention Gala features acrobats, clowns, vocalists, speakers and writers from Brazil, Monte Carlo, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, Germany and the USA. While the event is virtual, attendees are encouraged to dust off their best party clothes for this star-studded evening of fun and fundraising hosted by The Essential Academy. Performers include award-winning choreographer JJ Villar, motivational speaker Nick Santonastasso, celebrity vocalist Ferlie Almonte, Guinness Record Holder Bianca Rossini, bestselling author Angela Legh and TEDx speaker, Jackie Simmons as well as a dozen former Cirque du Soleil artists and acrobats.
“When Natan asked if they could support the Teen Suicide Prevention Society, I had no idea what I was being offered,” says Jackie Simmons, Director of The Teen Suicide Prevention Society. “The outpouring of support from these exceptional performers the world over has deeply touched my heart and strengthened my resolve to keep going until teen suicide is a thing of the past. One kid is too many to lose.”
“Ever since I was first exposed to Jackie Simmons and her mission, and after having been on one of her stages to help others change their thinking and their energy levels, I knew I had to find a way to shine an even bigger spotlight on what her and her family do, day in and day out, to help change the lives and save the lives of others,” state Natan Verkhovsky, Founder of The Essential Academy. “This Gala FUNraiser was my way of combining friends that are former Cirque du Soleil artists and acrobats with incredible speakers and survivors sharing their stories, and raising money for a great cause and wonderful organization.”
