NEW YORK, July 7, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jewelry in its varying forms has long been a means of self-expression. A symbol of love. A defining fashion statement. And a source of joy. Yet, one Manhattan-based jeweler wants its collections to also reflect the wearer's inner beauty while helping make the world a bit brighter during COVID-19. Meet Artisan Carat.
Launched last year by jeweler and entrepreneur, Daniel Fayzakov, Artisan Carat is an online marketplace of fine jewelry. It offers a gorgeous selection of gold, diamond, sterling silver, pearl, precious stone, and fun and trendy bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings to complement any consumer's signature style. Its team of artisans, molders and jewelers can also custom design pieces like engagement rings and provide certificates of authenticity.
Yet, the business is as much a place for giving as getting. Three percent of each sale goes to the charity of the buyer's choice, which includes six organizations as carefully curated as its jewelry collections.
"Our company was founded to help women sparkle in all parts of their lives. And during this uncertain and stressful time, that is more meaningful than ever. Not only do we offer stunning jewelry, we make sure the client can choose a non-profit that resonates with them that will share in the delight of their purchase," explained Fayzakov. "Every time one of our client's wears that piece, they have the added satisfaction of knowing a charity directly benefited from it during a time when that extra support is especially needed."
The organizations chosen to benefit from the purchases were carefully considered based on their mission and reputation as well as personal significance to the Artisan Carat team. They include: American Humane Association, Breast Cancer Research Fund (BRCA), Boys and Girls Club of America, Chabad.org, Operation Support Our Troops and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Chabad.org was chosen because of its role in inspiring and guiding the Jewish members of the team. The Humane Association reflects the owner's love for dogs. BRCA resonates with the largely female customer base and the recognition of breast cancer's widespread effects on individuals and families; the Boys and Girls Club reinforces the importance of providing all children with recreational and leadership opportunities for a better future; and Operation Support Our Troops is a nod to the owner's past experiences with the United States Airforce Academy and living in proximity to Luke Air Force Base and a means of thanking soldiers for their service. The CDC was recently added to the list in recognition of its role in leading the fight against COVID-19.
"Artisan Carat was founded on the belief that jewelry has the power to help each of us to shine in different ways. And helping charities that improve people's lives is one of the wonderful ways our customers add sparkle to the world," he added.
