These laws have seen changes made to the electrical safety standards in the private rented sector, meaning that landlords may need to check their systems once again to make sure that they are as compliant as possible.

It shows that there have been several regulatory changes in the industry this year, even if not all of them affect property rentals. Primarily, the report shows that EICRs, also known as Electrical Inspection Condition Reports, are being introduced. The new regulations require all private rented property owners to have an electrical inspection completed by a licensed and qualified individual at least every five years.
