Todd Wurschmidt has many years of experience as a professional fundraiser. He is the primary author of the chapter "Fundraising," written for the 2014 reprint of the American Society of Association Executive's Professional Practices in Association Management, the primer text for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) exam.

Among his many other career highlights, Todd Wurschmidt successfully led a multi-million dollar development campaign for a medical clinic. He achieved this primarily by receiving the pledge of a grateful spouse of a patient for long-term support via a new commercial venture.

As the Executive Director/CEO/Corporate Secretary of the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, Todd Wurschmidt grew annual revenues twenty-fold. Todd Wurschmidt served as the transition manager for a $100,000,000 per year Ag Commodity 501.c.1 to oversee the implementation of a new international business model for a $30,000,000 a year 501.c.6 Primary Contractor International Export Council.

Todd Wurschmidt secured three $7,000,000 government grants, a total of $21,000,000, for the designing and building of the country's largest statewide information-sharing network with over 750 public safety agencies and coordinating of 45 vendors.

At present, Todd Wurschmidt is the President and Chief Executive Officer of PARADOX Associations LLC. He is involved in writing, speaking, fundraising, and consultative aspects for the organization. His expertise includes outreach on issues relating to managing and motivating volunteers and staff, problem solving, and building sustainable organizational growth. Todd Wurschmidt's understanding and drive to fulfill the mission statements of non-profit organizations speaks to his leadership skills, and serves as an inspiration to not-for-profit staff and volunteers.

Todd Wurschmidt has developed numerous programs during his career. He was instrumental in the creation of the Police Executive Leadership College; Certified Law Enforcement Executive program; Autism Awareness; Alzheimer's Awareness; School Resource Officers; Child Abduction Response Teams; Community Policing; Law Reviews; Ethics Training; Human Diversity Training; and D.A.R.E, the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program founded by former Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates.

Among his professional associations, Todd Wurschmidt is the Executive Director of the Law Enforcement Foundation of Illinois (LEFI). LEFI is a not-for-profit foundation that works to increase positive interactions between the general population of Illinois, and young people in particular, and the Law Enforcement Professionals who serve them. LEFI also seeks to educate, train, and promote the development of law enforcement officers. LEFI advocates education as a means of helping to reduce victimization, and encouraging young people to make positive life choices, including careers in law enforcement.

Todd Wurschmidt received his education at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He has been associated with that institution as both a student and adjunct professor. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from OSU in the Biological Sciences. He earned a Master of Science in Social Sciences, and received his Doctorate of Philosophy, also from The Ohio State University. Todd Wurschmidt has been honored with OSU College's Distinguished Alumni Award.
