Monica Truax, currently a candidate for a Master of Business Administration degree, has achieved success in both the classroom and in the business community.

Currently in pursuit of her Master of Business Administration degree, Monica Truax hopes to transform her past professional and academic successes into a lucrative and successful career.

Monica Truax is now a graduate student at Willamette University, an elite academic institution located in Salem, Oregon. As a highly-selective and nationally-renowned private liberal arts university, Willamette is able to provide students with a superior-quality education, one that can enhance the quality and effectiveness of any young student's professional resume. Monica Truax, who has been a student at Willamette since 2013, has benefitted, and continues to benefit greatly, from the university's Atkinson Graduate School of Management Business curriculum. With an anticipated graduation date in May of 2015, Monica Truax has enjoyed the opportunity implement both strategic plans and financial controls for real-world business clients during her participation in experiential electives, and has also been allowed to participate in study-abroad opportunities in both Chile and China, which gave her the chance to explore and learn about those countries emerging global markets.

Prior to her enrollment at Willamette, Monica Truax enjoyed a high-quality undergraduate education at Oregon State University, where she studied both Business and the Spanish Language. Her accomplishments at OSU include participation in a studies abroad program in Cantabria, Spain, the honor of being named a Target Marketing Scholar, which she received for innovative Sales and Integrated Strategic Experience presentations, and the honors of being a Cum Laude Graduate, placement on the Dean's List for Academic Excellence and a position in the National Honor's Society. Monica Truax earned her degree in Business from OSU in 2011, and her degree in Spanish in 2012.

Monica Truax experienced also experienced professional success during her tenure at OSU. She served as the Executive Operational Group Leader for Target Distribution's regional distribution team between 2011 and 2013. During that time, Monica Truax was responsible for leading her team to the exceed safety, quality and productivity goals, which maximized delivery of profitable stocks. During her time with Target Distribution, Monica Truax was nominated for the 2012 Target Leadership Award by both her professional peers and the Senior Executive Team, and was promoted from the position of GL11 Production Controller to the position of GL13 Production Controller after only 10 months. She was responsible for leading her team to the #1 position amongst all 26 Target Distribution Centers between 2011 and 2012.

Monica Truax also has a history of generosity, committing her time and energy charitable projects as a young student. As an experienced and skilled high school athlete, Monica Truax volunteered to mentor young athletes as a Boys and Girls Club Basketball and Soccer Coach, imparting the lessons of sportsmanship and fair play to aspiring young sports stars. She also helped to raise awareness of disabilities as a volunteer coordinator for Wheel-a-thon between 2008 and 2012. She has generously contributed her time on multiple occasions, and looks forward to any opportunity for future community involvement.
