SHARE Inc., the world’s first and largest independent association of companies employing mainframe systems and related technologies, announced the election of officers and directors to form the 2014-2016 Board of Directors. The SHARE Board is charged with guiding the mission and vision of the organization in an industry that is grappling with everything from security threats to business and personal data, the influx of the Cloud and Big Data into the enterprise computing environment and the challenges that come with four generations of IT professionals working side-by-side.
“In 2015, SHARE will celebrate 60 years as the premier venue for enterprise IT professionals to come together to learn about and collaborate on prevailing topics and challenges in enterprise computing,” said newly elected President James Vincent of Nationwide Insurance. “SHARE will continue to be a vibrant community where IT professionals can find leading-edge IT education, real-world problem-solving opportunities among peers from around the world, as well as, the ability to influence the industry’s direction. I’m honored to serve as President as we shape the next 60 years of SHARE.”
All SHARE Board members have a long history of service to the organization. Board elections were recently held at SHARE’s summer event, SHARE in Pittsburgh, August 3-8, 2014.
