MC-Seamax Takes Delivery of 4,800 TEU Containership Newbuilding

MC-Seamax Management Limited (“MC-Seamax”) announced today that it took delivery of a 2015 built 4,800 TEU containership the “Seamax Stamford”.

The Seamax Stamford was acquired from Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding as a newbuilding resale and commenced a three-year, fixed-rate time charter with Maersk Line ("Maersk"). The delivery of the Seamax Stamford expands the MC-Seamax operating fleet to 6 vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 45,000 TEU. According to the Managing Partners of MC-Seamax, Cao Deambrosio and Ron Petrunoff, "With the acquisition of the Seamax Stamford, we continue to grow our overall fleet and add a second group of ship sizes to our fleet.” The charter relationship with Maersk “builds our stable cash flows with one of the premier liner companies."
