Businesses cutting investment as durable-goods orders slide

Businesses are hiring at the fastest pace in 15 years, but they sure aren’t investing like good times are here to stay. Orders for long-lasting or durable goods such as cars, appliances and computers fell 1.4% in February to mark the third decline in four months.
