THSU – President’s National Honor Roll

Texas Health and Science University, the first and oldest school of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Texas, continues its pioneering role in higher education by becoming the first acupuncture school to be recognized for its commitment to public service by the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

THSU is proud of the national recognition that we have received for our commitment to higher education and community service through our providing free and low-cost acupuncture and acu-detox treatments to those in need.

In answering the call to serve our community, we have joined the ranks of famous institutions of higher learning such as University of Notre Dame, University of Texas, and The Citadel. THSU is listed here among the Honor Roll members:

Since its founding, THSU has been internationally recognized for the success of its graduates and its award-winning Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine curriculum. THSU continues to offer a classical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine curriculum alongside two new and innovative business science programs: a generalized MBA program with an entrepreneurial focus, and a specialized MBA with an emphasis on the management of healthcare enterprises. THSU has the flexibility to grow and expand while preserving its core strengths as it holds accreditation through both the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). Qualified students enrolled in the MSAOM program are now eligible to enroll concurrently in the MBA programs. Seeing the advantages of an education that combines the best of a classical acupuncture and TCM curriculum with an innovative and flexible business degree, many MSAOM students have chosen to pursue the MBA degree as part of its dual-degree program. These programs, along with the Bachelor of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine programs, continue to build THSU's reputation as an innovative leader in higher education.
