MPLX LP (NYSE: MPLX) will acquire
MarkWest Energy Partners (NYSE: MWE) in a deal valued at approximately
$20 billion including the assumption of debt. Shares of MPLX plunged
$10.02 to close at $59.03 while MarketWest Energy Partners stock leaped
$8.34 to close at $68.09.
