LONDON - Feb. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- A poem about strength. About courage - about heart.
A poem about might - about embracing the fight.
A poem about them - their will to survive.
Their story is pain - yet still we refrain,
to stop their tears, that have fallen for years.
The need to act -
is now:
Fear not brave soul,
of hopes and dreams.
An unheard voice,
who shouts and screams.
Your cry strikes tremors
in hearts and minds.
But why dies down,
weathered, unwinds?
For poverty is noble,
a cause to unite.
But a cause that is woeful,
with its heart out of sight.
Because through the efforts,
the goals, the cause,
your voice runs dry
by money and laws.
Your voice runs governed
by statistical figures,
by media, by outlets
by political triggers.
But your figure is a life,
a birth of a child.
A story like ours,
emotion run wild.
So at its core
in providing charity,
from human to human
to eliminate disparity,
the essence of aid
should always prevail,
as that to assist
in a personal tale.
As that for the child,
keen and eager,
to fulfil their dreams,
not ill and meagre.
A child like you were
in your mother’s arms curled.
Their change is coming.
Brave New World.
