Stock-market investors just now realizing 3rd quarter earnings will be strong

Second-quarter earnings season provided a big boost to the U.S. stock market, helping remind investors that despite political uncertainty both at home and abroad, the economy and American corporations continue to show signs of strength. A similar shot in the arm could be forthcoming when third quarter results come in, says Morgan Stanley.
