RLI Corp. (NYSE:RLI) -- RLI Transportation’s Commercial Auto Unit announced the roll out of an improved mono-line commercial auto coverage targeting the healthcare industry – including hospitals, cancer centers, large clinics and other healthcare-related facilities.
The enhanced program now includes ambulances, employee shuttles, and vehicles driven by home healthcare nurses and visiting nurses. RLI Transportation Assistant Vice President Eric Galisdorfer explained, “We recognize the benefits to insureds of including emergency and nonemergency vehicles under a single policy and providing Symbol 1 coverage. Combined with our A+ admitted paper, our own expert claims handling, and our payment plan options, this program streamlines what can be a disjointed commercial auto insurance buying process for many healthcare organizations – we provide a simpler and more comprehensive solution at a very competitive price.”
Mr. Galisdorfer added, “RLI Transportation is excited to build on our strong reputation in the hospital insurance segment. Expanding our coverage is, once again, making it easier for our brokers to do business with us.”
The hospital coverage is admitted in all states except Alaska, Hawaii, La. and Mass. Minimum premiums start at $10,000. Stand alone nursing home entities are not eligible.
