Acme Packet Connected Universe Continues Stellar Expansion

Acme Packet® (NASDAQ: APKT), the leader in session border control solutions, today announced further expansion of its Acme Packet Connected Universe program with the addition of four new Constellation members. Acme Packet Connected Universe, launched in November 2006, is designed to facilitate business relationships among Acme Packet-enabled service providers to extend service reach, drive down costs, improve service quality and ultimately leverage new IP interactive communication service opportunities beyond voice.

Acme Packet Connected Universe opens up new opportunities for growth and partnerships with other service providers that share our goal for the trusted, first-class delivery of IP interactive communications, explained Richard Lindstrom, vice president of mobile sales and business development for Telecom New Zealand International. The program enables us to leverage Acme Packets broad embedded base of service provider and enterprise customers to easily interconnect with each other and allows us to accelerate our time to market with new services for our customers.

Acme Packet Connected Universes newest members are leading service providers delivering a variety of high-quality, high-demand communications services with Acme Packet, and include Grande Communications, Telecom New Zealand International, VoIP Corporation and XO Communications Services, Inc. The program now has 33 total members, with 20 Constellation members and 13 Star members. The latest additions to the program join a growing community of industry leaders benefiting from the opportunities afforded by Acme Packets innovative program. New Constellation members include:

  • Grande Communications, Inc. is a Texas-based communications company that provides rapid delivery of innovative wholesale broadband, carrier and ISP services.
