Joined by elected officials and celebrated veterans of the United States Armed Forces, Valor Healthcare celebrated the Grand Opening of its newly constructed, state-of-the-art VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Sherman, Texas, officials announced today.
With approximately 20,000 veterans in the Sherman area, the clinic brings high quality healthcare in a convenient setting to those who deserve it most.
“Sherman’s veteran population deserves the best healthcare possible,” says Rep. Ralph Hall (R-TX/4th), a World War II veteran. “Today, I welcome this clinic to our community, express my excitement for its potential to deliver high quality healthcare to America’s veterans, and offer my deepest gratitude for those who fought for our country.”
Valor Healthcare built the 4,000 square-foot clinic, which opened on February 19, 2008. Architecturally designed to cater to veterans’ unique healthcare conditions, the Sherman VA Clinic offers state-of-the-art primary care and mental health services, including onsite laboratory and digital x-ray.
“This clinic speaks directly to Valor’s mission to provide superior healthcare for our nation’s heroes,” says Dr. Ray Lanier, Valor Healthcare Founder and President. “We’re honored to care for the veterans of this region and look forward to building a strong, lasting relationship with the community.”
The Sherman clinic marks Valor’s fourth Texas center and is joined by clinics in Texas City, Galveston and Denton. With its growing national industry reputation as a top-quality medical provider, Valor customizes each of its facilities to meet veterans’ unique health needs, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
With patient comfort and privacy as top priorities, Valor’s clinics are designed similar to a private physician’s office, but are enhanced by wider hallways, enclosed areas for individual check-in, and specialty health clinics for female veterans.
