Spiderhost, Inc., Central Florida’s IT and Internet Solutions Partner, speaks of the Company’s recent community outreach initiatives.
In late April, Dale Frohman, President of Spiderhost, began The Daley Blog – The little geeky voice inside your head. “It’s a great way for us to share our ‘techie’ tidbits,” Frohman said. “We help small to mid-size businesses leverage technology everyday, without breaking their piggy-banks,” he continued. “Many of the same concepts and solutions can be applied to your home computer.”
Spiderhost also launched SurfSafe, a new community based website focused on Internet Safety at Home. The Company participated in the City of Lake Mary’s Safety Fair on Saturday, May 31st. Held in conjunction with the weekly Farmer’s Market, Spiderhost was among several local companies promoting safety, including Synergy Medical, Senior’s vs. Crime, and the Lake Mary Police & Fire Departments to name a few.
Recently, Spiderhost brought Spider U to the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2008 event that took place at the Lake Mary Senior Center. The Company held a series of “Internet Safety” seminars, educating local seniors on dangerous email scams and phishing schemes. Other seminars included “Identity Theft Prevention”, “Medicaid Fraud Unit Overview” and “Avoiding Construction Scams.”
