Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority Commissioner J. Russell Jennings today announced the launch of the agency’s reengineered Web site. In an effort to educate citizens in the state of Kansas of the Juvenile Justice Authority’s services, they partnered with Kansas.gov to develop the new site at: http://www.kansas.gov/jja/.
“I believe that we need to make the information about the Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority as readily accessible to the public as possible,” said Jennings. “With the support and assistance of the staff of Kansas.gov, I believe our information technology staff has achieved that goal.”
The JJA leads a broad-based state and local, public and private partnership to provide the state's comprehensive juvenile justice system. This includes prevention and intervention programs, community-based graduated sanctions and juvenile correctional facilities. With the launch of the redesigned JJA site, the improved format and structure of the site will help drive awareness of these services to the citizens of Kansas. “The new site provides far more intuitive navigation to information as well as a built-in search engine,” said Jennings.
