‘6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain,’ Based on the Incredible True Story of Professional Hockey Player Eric LeMarque, Arrives in Cinemas Nationwide October 12 Only

Featuring an all-star cast including Josh Hartnett (“Black Hawk Down”), Academy Award®-winner Mira Sorvino (“Mighty Aphrodite”) and Sarah Dumont (“Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse”), the inspiring re-telling of triumph and survival, “6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain,” comes to U.S. movie theaters this October for a special one-night showing with exclusive post-event discussion. From Director Scott Waugh (“Act of Valor”), the feature follows former Olympian Eric LeMarque (Hartnett) as he fights to survive.

Presented by Fathom Events, in partnership with Tucker Tooley Entertainment and Sonar Entertainment, “6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain” event will be shown in cinemas nationwide for one night on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. local time. Audiences will also be a part of the journey after the film as cast, crew and LeMarque join together to talk about how they hope to inspire others with this true-life story of determination to overcome the forces within and the forces of nature.

When a fierce snowstorm strikes the Sierra Nevada Mountains in February 2003, former professional and Olympic hockey player Eric LeMarque becomes stranded for eight days, when he has no choice but to come face-to-face with his dark past and looming personal demons. Through the rediscovery of faith, Eric defies all odds by overcoming the challenges of Mother Nature and battling the brutal realities that have shaped his life.
