Alphabet Inc.’s search engine was slapped with a EUR1.49 billion ($1.69 billion) fine by the European Commission on Tuesday, marking the third such penalty from the bloc’s antitrust regulator in less than two years. This time, Google is being accused of foul play in the area of online advertising.
