ARTNOVA Co., Ltd. Unveils AI-Powered Interactive Media Facade ‘STORYSYNC’

By: AB Newswire
August 26, 2025 at 16:02 PM EDT

Artnova Co., Ltd announced on August 27 that it has developed STORYSYNC, an AI-driven interactive media facade system, which is scheduled for official launch in February 2026 at Jeju Folk Village in South Korea.

STORYSYNC is a next-generation tourism solution that collects and analyzes visitors’ SNS photos in real time and transforms them into participatory media art. Unlike conventional nighttime attractions that rely on static lighting or simple photo zones, STORYSYNC fuses user-generated images with local folklore to create immersive visual narratives.

The technology is powered by AI-driven computer vision with natural language processing. It analyzes the color, composition, and mood of uploaded images, matches them with symbolic motifs drawn from a folklore database, and reconstructs them into 4K-resolution media art. The results are projection-mapped onto a 17-meter-high curved structure to offer visitors a unique experience in which their personal moments are expanded into collective cultural stories.

ARTNOVA led development and service operations, with NextepStudio Co., Ltd. and DAMGARA Co., Ltd producing the visual content. A research team at Gachon University contributed the AI core technology, highlighting the project as a successful example of industry–academia collaboration.

During pilot operations at Jeju Folk Village, rooted in the island’s UNESCO-designated natural heritage and mythology, STORYSYNC increased average visitor stay time by 1.5 times and demonstrated its ability to turn tourists into ‘cultural co-creators’ rather than passive consumers.

“STORYSYNC not only revives fading regional folklore with a modern digital sensibility, but also reduces operating costs for the tourism industry and provides a sustainable model with global scalability,” said GwanYong Park, CEO of ARTNOVA. “With the support of domestic and international partners, we aim to establish STORYSYNC as the new global standard for next-generation nighttime tourism.”
