First Foundation Inc. Donates $40,000 to Support California Wildfires Relief Efforts

February 05, 2025 at 10:07 AM EST

First Foundation Inc. (NYSE: FFWM) – First Foundation Inc. is proud to announce a donation of $40,000 to aid communities impacted by the ongoing California Wildfires. The funds are being equally distributed between two organizations actively involved in the relief, recovery, and rebuilding efforts.

The Pasadena Community Foundation and the California Community Foundation are at the forefront of addressing the devastating aftermath of the wildfires, which have displaced thousands of residents, destroyed homes, and severely impacted local infrastructure.

The Pasadena Community Foundation is supporting those directly impacted by the fires, including individuals displaced due to home loss, evacuation, or job loss—many experiencing more than one. Long-term recovery will bring resources to preserve the diversity and beauty of Altadena, to ensure that generational Black and Latino families can rebuild their homes and their lives, that the creative and artistic community can thrive, and that small businesses can reopen.

The California Community Foundation is addressing the long-term recovery needs of neighborhoods long after media attention has shifted away. Their disaster relief efforts support various critical recovery services, including housing, case management, mental health, and medical care for displaced residents. It also aids in rebuilding essential infrastructure like emergency communication systems and offers financial disaster assistance, labor law education, and humanitarian services to low-wage workers and immigrant families.

“We stand with the communities affected by these wildfires and recognize not only the urgent need for support, but also the commitment to rebuilding these communities back to their full vibrancy,” said Sylvia Figueroa, Community Development Manager and CRA Officer, at First Foundation Bank. “By partnering with organizations that have deep ties to the community and a proven track record of delivering assistance, we hope to make a meaningful impact on relief efforts that will help the communities of Los Angeles recover.”

First Foundation Inc. will continue to work with closely with customers in affected regions throughout Southern California.
