In trading on Friday, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (XBI) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.8% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Synergy Pharmaceuticals (SGYP), up about 13.6% and shares of Achillion Pharmaceuticals (ACHN), up about 12.6% on the day.
