Vivo Osteria Italian Restaurant & Lounge in Glen Cove, New York, has announced its grand reopening. The restaurant, which is located at 242 Glen Cove Avenue, has reopened its doors in July 2017 under new management. Chef Manny Benitez has made significant changes in the kitchen, while the ambiance of the location with its rustic upscale casual Tuscan osteria feel has been maintained.
"Our menu has taken a leap forward in terms of creativity, presentation, and definitely taste," says Tatyana Benitez, co-owner of the restaurant. "Our new dinner entrees include fresh fish, meats and organic produce that are artfully prepared and plated in a grand photogenic manner under Chef Benitez's guidance."

The restaurant is now open Tuesday through Sunday with Happy Hour and tastings every night until 7:00 p.m. at the tapas bar. The bar features hors d'oeuvres of four different continents including Italian arancini or rice balls, grilled chicken satay, all American black angus sliders, and beef empanadas.
"And like any great osteria, we also have a brick oven pizza bar which turns out a variety of made from scratch pizzas and panini sandwiches," says Benitez. "Our signature dishes include delicious braised mussels and gnocchi carbonara, as well as a delightful vanilla bread pudding."
The restaurant initially opened for dinner only, but they will start to be open for lunch around the end of August 2017, with a variety of takeout available throughout the day.
