The Sherwin-Williams Co.(NYSE: SHW) will pay a premium of approximately $11.3 billion in cash to acquire The Valspar Corp. (NYSE: VAL). Shares of Sherwin-Williams plummeted $15.43 to $273.26 while Valspar stock leaped $20.34 to $104.17.
