Alliant Energy Corporation Announces Receipt of Special Litigation Committee Report and Motion to Dismiss Shareowner Derivative Litigation

MADISON, Wis., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE: LNT) announced today that it had received a report of the special litigation committee of independent members of Alliant Energy's Board of Directors that determined that maintenance of the previously disclosed derivative proceeding by a purported shareowner against certain current and former officers and directors of Alliant Energy is not in the best interests of Alliant Energy. Based on such report, Alliant Energy filed a motion to dismiss the derivative proceeding in the Circuit Court for Dane County, Wisconsin.
