Highway T Launches to Help Nonprofits Accomplish Their Missions

DETROIT, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- NPower Michigan, a program of Michigan Nonprofit Association, today announces that it will separate from the national NPower network and operate as "Highway T," (www.highwayt.org) a nonprofit dedicated to leveraging technology in order to change the way nonprofits work. The separation from the NPower national network will allow Highway T to focus specifically on the technology needs of MNA members and other nonprofits in the region.  Highway T will offer its current services and trainings, in addition to more advanced webinars and workshops. Highway T will continue to provide affordable packaged technology services, utilizing free resources and experience, in an effort to encourage innovation and increase the probability of a successful nonprofit.

The name "Highway T" is derived from the idea that, in the nonprofit world, the path to success often requires a straightforward route, or highway. Highway T functions as a nonprofit's navigator for their organizational journey. The "T" or route number refers to the use of technology to accomplish this.

"Highway T has expanded its services to include a sustained presence throughout Michigan, as well as services in Ohio," said Highway T Executive Director Andy Wolber. "We're excited to continue our journey of empowering nonprofits with technology knowledge and tools to use in powerful new ways to serve their clients and communities."

"We agree that these new initiatives from the Michigan Nonprofit Association and Highway T will bring great value to nonprofits in Michigan," said Stephanie Cuskley, CEO of the NPower national network. "We look forward to working with Andy and his team in a new way as we develop new technology solutions and services on a national scale."

Highway T serves as the technology program for Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA). This program will aid MNA members and Michigan-based nonprofits in having access to the most current technology to increase efficiency.

"Michigan Nonprofit Association is pleased to take Highway T's technology services to the next level," said Kyle Caldwell, president and CEO of Michigan Nonprofit Association.  "By providing Highway T's services and resources to our members and the nonprofit community, we are creating an environment where nonprofits can function more proficiently, allowing them to focus on their core missions."
