Meals to Live Eliminates Guesswork for the Diabetes Community and Health-Conscious Shoppers

DALLAS, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Dallas-based Meals to Live, LLC announced the launch of a food product line developed by individuals with diabetes, for the diabetes community, with the aim of providing great tasting and healthy alternatives for meals and snacks.  Meals to Live products deliver the balanced nutrition necessary for these individuals to maintain healthy blood glucose levels by providing easy carb counting information on every package.

Every 21.6 seconds an individual is diagnosed with diabetes.  The Centers for Disease Control predicts the number will continue to rise.  The first step in reducing the impact of diabetes is to modify one's eating habits and diet.

All food products developed by Meals to Live meet dietary standards for diabetes and conditions associated with the disease: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease.

On August 23, 2010, Meals to Live shipped its product line of frozen meals to California retailers with its initial launch starting with Ralphs Grocery.  Ralphs Grocery is the first retailer to recognize the diabetes epidemic and took the initiative to improve the shopping experience for the diabetes community. Continued distribution across the United States will occur with a complete national roll through 2011.  Current plans are underway to introduce additional product categories by first quarter 2011.

Meals to Live frozen entrees have great-tasting, unique savory sauces and flavors that appeal to all appetites.  A sampling of the frozen meals include: Chicken Fajita with Santa Fe Rice, Roasted Turkey with Balsamic Sauce and Butternut Squash and Shrimp Jambalaya.  Meals to Live products are preservative free, have low sodium, 0g Trans Fat, and many of the products are GLUTEN FREE!

Created by Dallas-based entrepreneur Cole Egger and his college friend now business partner Aaron Murski, Meals to Live is based on an idea from Egger's family friend.  Egger has formed a dedicated team of individuals that has either been affected by diabetes and/or other nutritionally specific diseases in some way.  They have experienced firsthand the difficulty of shopping for convenient, tasty, nutritionally-specific meals. The team at Meals to Live is determined to make a difference.  For more information, visit Meals to Live website at www.mealstolive.com.
