Jaime Northam Receives NAIOP 2010 Developing Leaders Award

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Jaime Northam has been named as one of the recipients of the 2010 Developing Leaders Award, presented by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

Northam currently serves as Regional Asset Manager with Healthcare Trust of America Inc. ("HTA") in Scottsdale. In this role she is part of the asset management team at the frontline level with regional responsibility in overseeing a portion of HTA's medical office buildings throughout the United States. She has been involved in the commercial real estate industry for 10 years and previously served as Vice President with The Alter Group. She was also recently named as one of 51 women in the United States chosen as Real Estate Forum Magazine's 2009 "Women of Influence."

Northam has been involved with NAIOP Arizona for several years and helped launch the chapter's Developing Leaders program in 2008. She is editor-in-chief of the group's quarterly newsletter, The DL, and serves as the Developing Leaders' Communications Chair. She also serves as Chair of NAIOP's Young Professionals 2 National Forum.  In addition to serving on various committees in the past, she is part of the chapter's DL Steering Committee and helps organize community outreach events for young professionals including Habitat for Humanity, UMOM and an annual Feed the Homeless program. Other civic and charitable activities include her work with Brokers for Kids and City of Hope.

This year, the Developing Leaders Award was bestowed upon 15 up-and-coming professionals who have distinguished themselves in their profession and show great promise as future leaders of the commercial real estate industry.

NAIOP President Thomas J. Recipients of NAIOP's Developing Leaders Award were celebrated at Development '10: The Annual Meeting for Commercial Real Estate, where they benefited from unique networking opportunities and publicity surrounding the award.
