The Boeing Company Analyst Notes

On February 26, 2014, The Boeing Company (Boeing) reported that it has received a $2.4 billion contract award from the US Navy for 16 additional P-8A Poseidon aircraft that are expected to bolster maritime patrol capabilities. The Company added that the order will take the total fleet to 53 and also marks a transition from preliminary low-rate production. Commenting on the contract, Rick Heerdt, Boeing Vice President and P-8 Program Manager, stated, "This contract reflects the success of the program and enables us to continue delivering an advanced, cost-effective maritime patrol aircraft to the Navy. We delivered eight P-8s, all on or ahead of schedule in 2013, and we intend to keep that streak going in 2014." Lockheed Martin Corporation Analyst Notes

On February 20, 2014, Lockheed Martin Corporation (Lockheed Martin) reported that it has received a $92.0 million Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract from the US Army in December 2013 for sustainment of the AH-64 Apache helicopter Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) system. Mike Taylor, Program Director of M-TADS/PNVS international and support programs at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, commented, "The M-TADS/PNVS PBL program provides critical sustainment support to Apache pilots conducting missions around the world every day." General Dynamics Corporation Analyst Notes

On February 25, 2014, General Dynamics Corporation (General Dynamics) reported that its business unit General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems was awarded a $250.1 million contract from Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (Raytheon) to support the engineering and manufacturing development of the US Navy's next-generation integrated Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR). The Company stated that under the contract, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems will support Raytheon in the building, integration, and testing of an open, highly scalable, and energy efficient radar system to detect ballistic missiles and air and surface targets.
