On April 29, 2014, Nokia Corporation (Nokia) announced that its Board of Directors has decided to convene the Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2014 and that the Board and its Committees will submit the various proposals to the Annual General Meeting. According to Nokia, proposals to be discussed in the meeting include proposal to pay an ordinary dividend of EUR 0.11 per share and a special dividend of EUR 0.26 per share; proposals on the Board composition and remuneration; proposals to authorize the Board to repurchase and issue shares and proposals on the re-election of the external auditor and auditor's remuneration. SanDisk Corporation Analyst Notes
On April 22, 2014, SanDisk Corporation (SanDisk) announced the availability of its 1Z-nanometer (nm) technology, the most advanced NAND flash process node in the world. According to the Company, its 1Z technology will be utilized across its broad range of solutions, ranging from removable cards to enterprise SSDs. SanDisk stated that the 15nm technology will ramp on both two bits-per-cell (X2) and three bits-per-cell (X3) NAND flash memory architectures with the production ramp anticipated to begin in the latter half of 2014. Siva Sivaram, Senior Vice President, Memory Technology, SanDisk, said, "We are thrilled to continue our technology leadership with the industry's most advanced flash memory process node, enabling us to deliver the world's smallest and most cost effective 128 gigabit chips. SolarCity Corporation Analyst Notes
On April 4, 2014, Greentech Media reported that SolarCity Corporation (SolarCity) has partnered with an outside developer, Topco, for its 4-megawatt project and 2.4 megawatt commercial projects, both on land owned by the city of Lancaster, California. Greentech Media stated that according to Erik Fogelberg, SolarCity's Vice President of commercial development, Topco did all the initial work such as finding the vacant land, making deals with the city, creating the initial array designs, and opening negotiations on the PPAs with Southern California Edison via SCE's CREST feed-in tariff program. Greentech Media added that Fogelberg and his SolarCity development team agree that the Mercatus software streamlined and optimized the due diligence process, and wed them to find opportunities hidden among the many stranded projects in developers' pipelines. Seagate Technology Plc Analyst Notes
On April 29, 2014, Seagate Technology Plc (Seagate) reported financial results for Q3 FY 2014 (period ended March 28, 2014). The Company's revenues during the quarter declined 3.4% YoY to $3.4 billion. The net income attributable to Seagate stood at $395 million, or $1.17 per diluted share, compared to $416 million, or $1.13 per diluted share, in Q3 FY 2013. Seagate informed that its Board of Directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.43 per share, payable on May 28, 2014 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 14, 2014. Steve Luczo, Seagate's Chairman and CEO said, "Seagate's March quarter results reflect ongoing effective execution in a dynamic market environment. We are positioning the Company to lead in the evolving storage ecosystem by leveraging and investing in our market-leading product portfolio to enable shifts in the storage landscape in hyperscale, performance and mobility." Sprint Corporation Analyst Notes
On April 22, 2014, Sprint Corporation (Sprint) announced that it will receive 'WasteWise National Partner of the Year Award for Very Large Companies' from the EPA at the Sprint headquarters campus in Overland Park. According to Sprint, WasteWise is an unpaid voluntary EPA program that assists businesses to lessen their environmental impact and invent cost savings through innovative waste reduction and recycling activities.
