On May 28, 2014, Lockheed Martin Corporation (Lockheed Martin) announced that it has received a $69 million contract from Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) to support the United States Coast Guard's efforts to enforce maritime sovereignty and deal with at-sea threats. Deere & Company Analyst Notes
On May 28, 2014, Deere & Company (Deere) announced that its Board of Directors has approved an increase of the Company's quarterly dividend to $0.60 per share on common stock, payable on August 1, 2014, to stockholders of record as on June 30, 2014. Deere stated that the new quarterly rate represents an increase of $0.09 per share over the previous level. On May 28, 2014, Parker-Hannifin Corporation (Parker) announced a partnership with Autocar LLC. (Autocar) and Heil and Republic Services Inc. to create and verify a proof of concept of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueled RunWise refuse truck in Chula Vista, California. According to the Company, the demonstration was performed for over a month on a collection route normally served by a traditional CNG truck, in which the system proved to consistently provide reduced fuel consumption, responsiveness, and reduced noise. Parker stated that the RunWise Advanced Series Hybrid Drive System further improves the gains of using natural gas as a fuel source, resulting to reduced emissions which make these refuse trucks today's cleanest environmental solution. Shane Terblanche, General Manager, Parker's Hybrid Drive Systems Division said, "We are pleased with the initial results of the CNG-powered RunWise refuse trucks. Test data shows that the RunWise system is delivering up to 20% incremental fuel savings over traditional CNG trucks and a 10% improvement in productivity, and we can anticipate that reduced brake wear and routine maintenance requirements will also contribute to the value of these clean energy vehicles."
